The daily operations of DEO are overseen by specialized committees made up of PIs and Directors of Technological Units, selected for their expertise and entrusted with key responsibilities, all coordinated centrally. The governance framework includes the Office of the Chairman, led by the Chairman and Executive Director, and the Scientific Council, an independent body chaired by a tenured PI. Essential guidance also comes from an external Scientific Advisory Board.
Supporting this structure, an Educational Committee manages PhD and postdoctoral training, a Lab Management Committee oversees shared lab spaces and equipment, and dedicated User Groups for Technological Units coordinate the activities of each Technological Unit.
