Research Financial Planning & Analysis Office (RFP&A)

The Research Financial Planning & Analysis Office (RFP&A) oversees the preparation, monitoring, and revision of the Department of Experimental Oncology’s institutional budget, explaining any variances against actual results and updating forecasts throughout the year.

It produces reports to track financial trends and works closely with the Central Administration & Accounting Department during monthly and annual closing processes for statutory reporting.

The office supports Principal Investigators and researchers in managing and monitoring their Clinical and Basic Research Grants, handling all related administrative tasks. It also prepares funding data for “5 per 1000” and “Ricerca Corrente” Basic Research statements.

In managing Clinical Trials, the RFP&A Office monitors the expected margins of sponsored studies and oversees the approval, tracking, and reporting of all clinical trial administrative documents. It prepares and adjusts Clinical Trials budgets, explains deviations, updates forecasts, and supports the associated statutory accounting. The office also manages invoicing and payment follow-ups, liaising with the Clinical Data Management Office.

Additionally, the RFP&A Office provides these services to Centro Cardiologico Monzino Hospital, a member of the IEO Group.
